Tech Industry Alliance Skillnet (TIAS), in conjunction with Irish Management Institute, is delighted to launch the 7th cohort of the Emerging Tech Leaders Programme commencing in September 2026, and we would be delighted to welcome you to the programme this year.
The programme is primarily focused on building leadership capability to complement the technical expertise of ICT professionals and attracts participants from across the technology, financial services, insurance, pharma and wider tech-enabled sectors.
The programme will provide key insights on how to excel in a modern working environment as participants tap into current best practice and emerging research on the future of work. Participants will develop the skills required to lead teams, influence stakeholders, manage change, drive innovation and maximise performance in increasingly complex and hybrid environments.
This year’s programme accelerators include a DiSC psychometric assessment, one-to-one mentorship, a reflective learning log, an action-focused workplace project, peer learning and a capstone presentation event.
On successful completion of the programme, participants will be eligible to apply for CPD certification from Engineers Ireland.
Launching in September and concluding in December, the programme consists of 5 modules delivered over 6.5 days, alongside a virtual capstone event.

The ICT sector in the Southern Region continues to face unique challenges in the area of technical leadership.
The sector requires leaders who can think and act globally. Professionals within the industry are increasingly required to transition smoothly from individual contributor roles into both technical and business leadership positions. They need to develop core leadership skills such as agility, communication, influence and persuasion, strategic thinking, executive presence and a performance mindset.
