Programme Overview
As per the Project Ireland 2040 for the Southern Region report, a competitive, innovative and resilient enterprise base is essential to provide the jobs and employment opportunities for people to live and prosper. The ICT sector in the Southern Region has some unique challenges around the area of Technical Leadership.
The sector requires leaders who can think and act globally. Professionals within the industry are required to be able to smoothly transition from the role of individual contributor to both technical and business leader. They need to develop core leadership skills such as agility, communication, influence and persuasion, the ability to ‘think big’, a strong executive presence and a performance mindset.

Because in today’s rapidly evolving ICT landscape, leadership isn’t just about technical expertise—it’s about guiding teams, driving innovation, and making strategic decisions that impact the business. The Emerging Tech Leaders Programme is designed specifically for technical professionals ready to embrace leadership roles. This programme helps you navigate the challenges of leadership by developing the skills you need to lead people, drive performance and manage change.
At the intersection of technical excellence and leadership development, this programme prepares you for the next phase of your career, ensuring you have the emotional intelligence, business acumen, and strategic insights to lead with confidence. Whether you’re managing remote teams, balancing new workloads, or navigating new technologies, you’ll leave the programme with practical tools to enhance your leadership journey and inspire the future of tech.
