v4v Programme

Learn to Build with AI

Think. Build. Create Value.

Move beyond experimenting with AI and learn how to build practical business automations using Claude Code.

V4V is a hands-on programme designed to help professionals turn everyday business requirements into working AI-powered solutions. From identifying opportunities and defining requirements to building workflows, connecting business tools, testing and deployment, participants develop the practical skills to create automations that address real organisational challenges.

Combining six taught days with six days of independent project work, the programme provides an opportunity to apply your learning to a genuine business process and develop a working automation prototype that you can demonstrate and take back into your organisation.

No programming background is required.

The Programme

Think. Build. Create Value.

V4V combines practical AI development skills with critical thinking and real-world business application.

The programme is structured around three complementary areas:

THINK – Understand AI and its potential

Explore where AI can genuinely add value, understand its capabilities and limitations, and recognise where human judgement and oversight need to remain in control.

BUILD – Develop practical AI skills

Learn to use Claude Code to develop business automations, including how to:

  • Work with files, documents and data.
  • Write clear requirements and specifications.
  • Build reusable workflows.
  • Connect business tools and APIs.
  • Work with multiple AI agents.
  • Test and deploy working automations.

CREATE VALUE – Apply your learning

Identify a real business process that could benefit from automation and develop a working solution that you can demonstrate and develop further within your organisation.

What You'll Learn

From first prompt to working automation.

The programme takes you through the key stages of developing a practical AI-powered business automation.

  • UNDERSTAND: Explore how AI agents differ from chatbots and where automation fits within business processes.
  • PLAN: Translate a business requirement into a clear, structured and testable specification.
  • BUILD: Create reusable workflows and connect them to business tools.
  • CONTROL: Manage permissions, costs, approvals and human oversight.
  • DEPLOY: Run, monitor, maintain and update a working automation.

Critical Thinking for AI

Build with AI. Know when to stop and think.

Alongside the practical development skills, the programme includes a dedicated day focused on Critical Thinking for AI Management Systems.

Develop the ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs, recognise limitations, errors and bias, and understand when human judgement needs to remain in control.

This element helps ensure that participants can apply AI thoughtfully and responsibly, rather than simply focusing on what the technology can do.

Practical Application – What You'll Actually Do

Build something real.

Work through a practical expense-receipt automation case study, progressing from data extraction to a complete workflow involving multiple AI agents and human review.

Alongside the taught sessions, you'll identify your own business process to automate and develop it during six days of independent project work.

By the end of the programme, you'll have:

  • A working automation prototype.
  • Practical experience applying Claude Code.
  • Experience building human review and control into a workflow.
  • A solution you can demonstrate and develop further.

Who Should Attend?

V4V is designed for professionals who want to move beyond using AI tools and develop the capability to build practical business solutions.

The programme is particularly relevant to:

  • Team leads and managers.
  • Business analysts.
  • Operations professionals.
  • Junior developers.
  • Professionals responsible for scoping or championing automation.
  • Non-developers who want to build practical business solutions with AI.

No programming background is required.
